The present invention relates to select elastomeric blends including at least one halogenated random copolymer. In particular, the present invention relates to compositions including at least one halogenated random copolymer of isobutylene and methylstyrene, preferably para-methylstyrene; wherein the at least one halogenated random copolymer includes at least 9.0 wt% methylstyrene, preferably para-methylstyrene, based upon the weight of the at least one halogenated random copolymer; and at least one general purpose rubber. The invention also relates to articles made from these compositions and processes for making the same.

La présente invention porte sur des mélanges élastomères sélectionnés renfermant au moins un copolymère aléatoire halogéné. Cette invention concerne en particulier des compositions renfermant d'une part au moins un copolymère aléatoire halogéné d'isobutylène et de méthylstyrène, de préférence de para-méthylstyrène, le ou les copolymères aléatoires halogénés comprenant au moins 9,0 % en poids de méthylstyrène, de préférence de para-méthylstyrène, sur la base du poids du ou des copolymères aléatoires halogénés, et d'autre part au moins un caoutchouc normal. Cette invention concerne également des articles fabriqués à partir de ces compositions, ainsi que des procédés de fabrication de ces articles.
