An improved dilation balloon for securement to a catheter. The balloon includes an elastomeric skin having a constraining structure affixed thereto. The constraining structure allows radial expansion between an uninflated diameter D defl and an inflated diameter D infl. The minimum inflation pressure can be calculated based on the chosen elastomer D infl and D defl.
Cette invention concerne un ballonnet dilatable amélioré destiné à être fixé à un cathéter. Ce ballonnet comprend une peau élastomère à laquelle est fixée une structure de contrainte. Cette structure de contrainte permet d'obtenir une expansion radiale entre un diamètre à l'état dégonflé Ddefl et un diamètre á l'état gonflé Dinfl. La pression minimale de gonflage peut être calculée en fonction de l'élastomère choisi, du Dinfl et du Ddefl.
