A combination convection/microwave oven (20) in which a food product (62) is cooked by microwave energy (44) and by a heated airflow (57) provided by a thermal energy source and a blower (50). The oven (20) is capable of cooking food (62) in a microwave reflective pan (64). Microwave energy (66) enters the oven (20) below the pan (64) and is guided to a spacing between the pan (64) and oven sides (34, 36) and then reflected by the sides (34, 36) and top (32) of the oven (20) to the food product (62) in the pan (64). The heated airflow (57) is laminar with an upper layer and a lower layer. The pan (64) is positioned at about the interface of the two layers so that the upper layer is incident on the food product (62) and the lower layer is incident on the bottom of the pan (64).

L'invention concerne un four (20) combiné à micro-ondes/convection dans lequel on peut faire cuire un produit (62) alimentaire par énergie (44) de micro-ondes et par un flux (57) d'air fourni par une source d'énergie thermique et un ventilateur (50).
