A system for preventing a toilet bowl from overflowing is disclosed. The system includes a sensor (14) mounted to the toilet bowl (12) at a location above a normal water level for the toilet bowl. The sensor is operative to sense the water level in the toilet bowl, and generate a warning signal if the level is above the normal level. The system further includes a valve (18) connected to the water conduit (56) feeding the toilet bowl, the valve being displaceable to respective open and closed positions. A drive assembly (20) is connected to the valve to drive the valve to the open and closed positions. The system still further includes a processor (16) electrically coupled with the sensor and the drive assembly to enable the drive assembly upon receiving the warning signal from the sensor.
L'invention concerne un système destiné à empêcher le débordement d'une cuvette de W-C. Le système comprend un capteur (14) monté sur la cuvette (12) de W-C en un point situé au-dessus du niveau d'eau normal de ladite cuvette de W-C. Le capteur détecte le niveau d'eau dans la cuvette de W-C et produit un signal d'avertissement si le niveau dépasse le niveau normal. Le système comprend également un robinet (18) relié au conduit (56) d'eau alimentant la cuvette de W-C, le robinet étant mobile dans des positions respectivement ouverte et fermée. Un ensemble d'entraînement (20) est relié au robinet afin d'entraîner le robinet dans les positions ouverte et fermée. Le système comprend également un processeur (16) couplé électriquement au capteur et à l'ensemble d'entraînement afin de commander l'ensemble d'entraînement lors de la réception du signal d'avertissement provenant du capteur.
