A wire belt includes a plurality of interconnected links that form a belt having a small mesh size, large percent open- area, and high strength, without the use of transverse rods or complex weaving patterns. Each of the links includes a hinge portion and hanger portion. The hinge portion includes a first and a second section. The first section is disposed at an angle relative to the hanger portion. The second section includes two loops sized and shaped to fit around at least a portion of the hanger portion of an adjacent link such that the two links are rotatably interconnected to form a continuous belt without the use of transverse rods or complex weaving patterns. The second section may have a "U" or "V" shape, and may include an elongated section such that the hinge portion extends beyond a transverse axis of the hanger portion.
Il s'agit d'une bande transporteuse comprenant de multiples maillons interconnectés formant une bande robuste constituée d'ouvertures de petite dimension et présentant un fort pourcentage de surfaces ouvertes, et ce, sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'utiliser des tiges transversales ou des motifs complexes. Chaque maillon comprend une partie formant une charnière et une partie formant un crochet. La partie qui forme une charnière comprend une première et une deuxième section. La première section forme un angle avec la partie qui forme le crochet. La deuxième section comprend deux boucles dimensionnées et configurées pour s'adapter autour d'au moins une partie du crochet d'un maillon adjacent et pour relier deux maillons pouvant pivoter l'un par rapport à l'autre. Les maillons forment une bande continue, et ce, sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'utiliser des tiges transversales ou des motifs complexes. La deuxième section peut avoir la forme d'un « U » ou d'un « V » et comprendre une partie allongée permettant à la charnière de se prolonger au-delà de l'axe transversal du crochet.
