The present application relates to a method for modulating the growth state of an epithelial cell by ectopically contacting the epithelial cell, in vitro or in vivo, with a hedgehog therapeutic or ptc therapeutic in an amount effective to alter the rate (promote or inhibit) of proliferation of the epithelial cell, e.g., relative to the absence of administration of the hedgehog therapeutic or ptc therapeutic. The subject method can be used, for example, to modulate the growth state of an epithelial tissue, such as for inducing the formation of skin or other cutaneous tissue, or for inducing growth of hair.
L'invention concerne un procédé relatif à la modulation de l'état de croissance d'une cellule épithéliale par mise en contact ectopique de ladite cellule, in vitro ou in vivo, avec un agent thérapeutique hedgehog ou un agent thérapeutique patched (ptc) selon une quantité efficace pour modifier (développer ou inhiber) le taux de prolifération de la cellule épithéliale, par exemple par rapport à l'absence d'administration de ces agents. Par exemple, on peut utiliser le procédé décrit en vue de moduler l'état de croissance d'une cellule épithéliale, notamment pour induire la formation de peau ou autre tissu cutané, ou bien pour induire la pousse des cheveux.
