GRINDER PUMP CUTTER AND ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT A grinder pump cutter and assembly wherein a motor is interconnected to an impeller pump and a cutter by means of a shaft. The shaft is split and secured by a removable coupling for ease of separation of the motor from the remainder of the assembly. The cutter is maintained within a cutter ring having a plurality of bores or passages about the periphery thereof. The cutter has a plurality of ribs about a circumferential surface thereof, the ribs extending across the entire circumferential surface and in shearing engagement with cutting edges defined by the bores of the cutter ring. The ribs may be vertically aligned so as to be perpendicular to top and bottom surfaces of the cutter, or may be oblique with respect thereto.
