The present invention relates to articles, preferably absorbent articles like sanitary napkins and pantiliners, for controlling odours, preferably odours associated with bodily fluids, which comprise a peroxyacid, preferably .epsilon.-pthalimido peroxyhexanoic acid, as the odour control material. The present invention also discloses the use of such peroxyacids as odour control material.
