MICROCRYSTAL NEGATIVE ION FIELD GENERATORS Abstract A plurality of electrochemically oxidized aluminum plates placed in specific indoor and outdoor geometric patterns control and remove insect pests. Although the explanation for the effectiveness of the plates is not completely understood, the surface crystal structure of the plates is believed to generate magnetic fields and negative ion fields and apparently the negative ion fields disturb and repel insect pests from the area. Negative ion fields do not disturb and are apparently beneficial to higher mammals and humans, therefore the plates are conducive to human activities while repelling insect pests.
