A connecting pin has a body of considerable strength which will not come out of position when locked and will not be caught during insertion and removal. In the connecting pin, a locking flange 10 is provided at the rear end of a column-like body or shank; an elongated passage 11 extends through the shank at the forward end of the body; a shank 12 is inserted in the shank at the forward end of the shank in a direction intersecting the elongated passage; two opposed holes 17 are formed in parallel with this shank; a locking piece 13 is rotatably supported on the aforesaid shank at a midway point thereof and has a plurality of depressions 16 in both sides; and a positioning member, which selectively engages in one of the depressions, is inserted in the passage.
