Provided is a lithographic printing plate comprising a support substrate (106) having disposed thereon an ablative-absorbing layer (102) and, optionally, a durable, ink-accepting surface layer (100) that is not ablative-absorbing. The ablative-absorbing layer may contain a high weight per cent of an organic sulfonic acid component. The printing plate may further comprise a hydrophilic polymeric layer (104) interposed between the ablative-absorbing layer and the substrate. The printing plate also comprises a primer layer underlying the ablative-absorbing layer with an adhesion-promoting agent, such as a zirconium compound, present in the primer layer. Also provided are methods of preparing such lithographic printing plates, and methods of preparing imaged lithographic printing plates by imagewise exposure to a laser and a subsequent cleaning step with water or with a cleaning solution.
L'invention concerne une plaque d'impression lithographique comprenant un substrat de support (106) sur lequel sont disposées une couche ablative-absorbante (102) et, éventuellement, une couche (100) de surface absorbant l'encre et durable qui ne soit pas ablative-absorbante. La couche ablative-absorbante peut contenir un pourcentage en poids élevé d'un composant d'acide sulfonique organique. Cette plaque d'impression peut également comprendre une couche polymère hydrophile (104) intercalée entre la couche ablative-absorbante et le substrat. Cette plaque d'impression comprend en outre une couche de fond disposée sous la couche ablative-absorbante; cette couche de fond sous-jacente contient un agent favorisant l'adhésion tel qu'un composé de zirconium. L'invention concerne également des méthodes de préparation de ces plaques d'impression lithographique ainsi que des méthodes de préparation de plaques d'impression lithographique d'imagerie à partir desdites plaques d'impression lithographique en procédant à une exposition de l'image à un laser ainsi qu'à une étape ultérieure de nettoyage avec de l'eau ou une solution de nettoyage.
