Abstract of the Disclosure A plastic drum cover assembly includes annular flexing regions interposed between a central circular disk and an interface means to connect said cover to an open top plastic drum. These flexing regions correspond to annular flexing regions on a neck of an open top plastic drum. Both sets of flexing regions cooperate to permit the cover and the drum neck to flex in a hinging action when subject to an impact to insure that the cover is not separated from the drum body, thereby preventing spillage. The cover also includes a vertical cylindrical wall extending downward from said flexing regions to prevent the cover from over flexing and thus also preventing spillage.
