The present invention relates to an optical manipulation system (10) for generation of a plurality of optical traps for manipulation of micro-objects including nano-objects using electromagnetic radiation forces in a micro- object manipulation volume (14), the system comprising a spatially modulated light source (16) for emission of a first light beam (24) with a spatially modulated intensity propagating towards an adjustable spatial light modulator (26) for generating a second (28) and a third (30) modulated light beam, the second intensity modulated light beam propagating towards a first deflector (32) for deflection of the second light beam towards the micro-object manipulation volume (14), and the third intensity modulated light beam propagating towards a second deflector (34) for deflection of the third light beam towards the same volume (14). In one embodiment the optical manipulation system provides sets of beams propagating along substantially the same axis of propagation but in opposite directions, so-called counter-propagating beams, thereby forming a significant trapping force along the propagation axis of the beams for trapping of a micro-object.
La présente invention concerne un système de manipulation optique (10) permettant de générer une pluralité de pièges optiques pour la manipulation de micro-objets comprenant des nano-objets utilisant des forces de radiation électromagnétiques dans un volume de manipulation de micro-objets (14), le système comprenant une source lumineuse modulée spatialement (16) pour émission d~un premier faisceau lumineux (24) avec une intensité modulée spatialement se propageant vers un modulateur de lumière spatiale réglable (26) afin de générer un second (28) faisceau lumineux modulé et un troisième (30) faisceau lumineux modulé, le second faisceau lumineux modulé en intensité se propageant vers un premier déflecteur (32) pour dévier le second faisceau lumineux vers le volume de manipulation de micro-objets (14), et le troisième faisceau lumineux modulé en intensité se propageant vers un second déflecteur (34) pour dévier le troisième faisceau lumineux vers le même volume (14). Selon un mode de réalisation, le système de manipulation optique fournit des ensembles de faisceaux se propageant sur sensiblement le même axe de propagation mais dans des directions opposées, que l'on appelle faisceaux de contre-propagation, formant ainsi une force de piégeage importante sur l'axe de propagation des faisceaux permettant de piéger un micro-objet.
