Disclosed is a process for production of a composition having a carotenoid content of 80% or more, which comprises: extracting a culture of a microorganism, a condensation product of the culture or a dried product of the culture or the condensation product with at least one member selected from the group consisting of a lower alcohol, a water-containing lower alcohol, a lower dialkyl ketone and an ether; condensing the resulting extract to yield a precipitate; and washing the precipitate with at least one member selected from the group consisting of a lower alcohol, a water-containing lower alcohol, a hydrocarbon solvent and a lower dialkyl ketone. Also disclosed is a food, a pharmaceutical composition or a cosmetic comprising the carotenoid-containing composition.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'une composition ayant une teneur en caroténoïde supérieure ou égale à 80 %, qui comprend : l'extraction d'une culture à partir d'un micro-organisme, un produit de condensation de la culture ou un produit séché de la culture ou le produit de condensation avec au moins un élément choisi dans le groupe constitué par un alcool inférieur, un alcool inférieur contenant de l'eau, une di(alkyle inférieur)cétone et un éther ; la condensation de l'extrait résultant pour donner un précipité ; et le lavage du précipité avec au moins un élément choisi dans le groupe constitué par un alcool inférieur, un alcool inférieur contenant de l'eau, un solvant hydrocarboné et une di(alkyle inférieur)cétone. La présente invention concerne également un aliment, une composition pharmaceutique ou un produit cosmétique comprenant la composition contenant le caroténoïde.
