The present invention relates to a stator for an eccentric single-rotor screw pump having a casing made of steel or the like and a helical elastomer lining. The object of the present invention is to provide a stator of this type and a method for its production which can also be made with larger lengths at low production costs. This object is solved in that the stator is composed of at least two stator segments (2, 3) that are axially arranged in a line, whereby the stator segments (2, 3) are connected to one another at their abutment (12) so as to be pressure-tight by a tube (15) of a polymer material that is pulled onto the casing (4) and overlaps the abutments (12) and by a metal ring (16) radially pressed onto it.
