The present invention relates to a method for purifying a recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) or recombinant FSH variant. The method comprises the steps of subjecting a liquid containing a recombinant FSH or recombinant FSH variant to an anion exchange chromatography, to a hydrophobic interaction chromatography, and to a dye affinity chromatography, wherein these chromatographies may be performed in any order, and wherein the method neither comprises a weak anion exchange chromatography nor a reverse phase chromatography. The method of purification results in a high yield of recombinant FSH having a desired degree of purity. The obtained FSH is especially useful for the prophylaxis and treatment of disorders and medical indications where FSH preparations are considered as useful remedies.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de purification de l'hormone de stimulation folliculaire (FSH) ou d'une variante de FSH recombinante. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à soumettre un liquide contenant une FSH recombinante ou une variante de FSH recombinante à une chromatographie échangeuse d'anions, à une chromatographie par interaction hydrophobe et à une chromatographie d'affinité à un colorant, ces chromatographies étant réalisées dans l'ordre, et le procédé ne comprenant ni une chromatographie échangeuse d'anions faible ni une chromatographie en phase inverse. Le procédé de purification donne un rendement élevé de FSH recombinante ayant un degré souhaité de pureté. La FSH obtenue est particulièrement utile pour la prophylaxie et le traitement des troubles et des indications médicales dans lesquels des préparations de FSH sont considérées comme étant des remèdes utiles.
