The invention relates to a light box (1) having at least three basic profiles (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d), which in the fitted state form a closed basic frame (2), onto which a first surface material (4), which can be tensioned and is to be illuminated, can be used in such a way that it forms the front side of the basic frame (2), having at least one luminous means (5), which is arranged within the basic frame (2) in order to illuminate the light box (1), having at least one power supply, in particular an electrical ballast (8), in order to supply the luminous means (5) with current, having at least one bearing wall, which is arranged on the rear side of the basic frame (2) and has at least one fastening means (6) for detachably fixing the luminous means (5) and/or the electrical ballast (8) within the basic frame (2), wherein the bearing wall is formed by a second surface material (7), which can be tensioned and which can be fastened on the basic frame (2) in such a way that it forms the rear side of the light box (1).
