RAIN-TIGHT ELECTRICAL BOX ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrical box for outdoor use includes a box having side and back walls, the side walls having front edge portions with a water-excluding structure. A lid engages the front edge portions to make the interior of the box essentially water-free. An interior cover plate defines, with the interior of the box, a chamber for containing an electrical device, the plate having one or more openings through which the device is accessible when the lid is removed. The edges of the plate have tabs which engage recesses in the side walls of the box to hold the plate in position.
