A fertilizer system is provided using extraction of nitrogen compounds and other plant nutrients from combustion exhaust gases, and which is particularly suited for use with an agricultural irrigation system or engine driven plant care equipment including self-propelled tractors, mowers and the like. The system includes an exhaust chamber in communication with the motor driving a pump of the system for receiving the exhaust gases therethrough. Water is injected into the exhaust chamber for mixing with the exhaust so that the steam being formed absorbs various nitrogen compounds and other plant nutrients from the surrounding hot exhaust gases. The steam is subsequently condensed in a condensing chamber from which condensate is collected and dispensed into the inlet of the pump with water circulated therethrough. The water is thus enriched with various nitrogen compounds and other plant nutrients absorbed from the exhaust gases before being dispensed to a planted area by an irrigation system or a sprayer attachment on a self-propelled tractor, mower and the like.
L'invention concerne un système d'utilisation d'engrais obtenu par extraction de composés azotés et d'autres nutriments végétaux provenant de gaz d'échappement de combustion, particulièrement apte à être utilisé avec un système d'irrigation agricole ou un équipement d'entretien des plantes entraîné par moteur, notamment des tracteurs automobiles, tondeuses et analogues. Ce système comprend une chambre d'échappement en communication avec le moteur alimentant une pompe du système, qui permet de recevoir les gaz d'échappement. De l'eau est injectée dans cette chambre d'échappement afin d'être mélangée au produit d'échappement de façon que la vapeur formée absorbe les divers composés azotés et autres nutriments végétaux des gaz d'échappement chauds environnants. La vapeur est ensuite condensée dans une chambre de condensation à partir de laquelle le produit de condensation est recueilli et distribué dans l'entrée de la pompe, de l'eau circulant dans celle-ci. L'eau est ainsi enrichie en divers composés azotés et autres nutriments végétaux absorbés des gaz d'échappement avant d'être distribuée sur un espace planté par un système d'irrigation ou un pulvérisateur situé sur un tracteur automobile, une tondeuse, et analogue.
