A surgical stapling apparatus is provided including a cartridge assembly defining a tissue contacting surface; an anvil assembly defining a tissue contacting surface; and a surgical buttress releasably secured to at least one of the tissue contacting surface of the cartridge assembly and the tissue contacting surface of the anvil assembly by at least one anchor. A loading unit is provided including a surgical buttress releasably secured to an anvil assembly and/or a staple cartridge secured thereto by at least one anchor, and a drive assembly including a knife blade, wherein movement of the drive assembly from a proximal position to a distal position results in the knife blade cutting the at least one anchor and freeing each surgical buttress from the anvil assembly and/or cartridge assembly.
La présente invention concerne un appareil de fixation chirurgicale qui inclut un ensemble cartouche définissant les éléments suivants : une surface de mise en contact tissulaire ; un ensemble enclume définissant une surface de mise en contact tissulaire ; et un renfort chirurgical fixé de manière amovible à au moins la surface de mise en contact tissulaire de l'ensemble cartouche ou à celle de l'ensemble enclume par au moins un ancrage. On prévoit une unité de chargement qui inclut un renfort chirurgical fixé de manière amovible à un ensemble enclume et/ou une cartouche d'agrafe y étant fixée par au moins un ancrage, ainsi qu'un ensemble d'entraînement incluant une lame de couteau. Le mouvement de l'ensemble d'entraînement depuis une position proximale jusqu'à une position distale permet à la lame de couteau de couper le ou les ancrages et de libérer chaque renfort chirurgical de l'ensemble enclume et/ou l'ensemble cartouche.
