Description

Method and apparatus for data packet transport in a wireless transmission system supporting broadcast transmissions. Broadcast streams are provided in IP packets routed to a subscriber group. The PDSN applies an outer header to each broadcast stream frame identifying the frame as part of a multi-cast transmission. The PDSN transmits the frames to at least on PCF, wherein the PCF duplicates the received frame for each user in the subscription group, alleviating the processing of the PDSN.

Procédé et dispositif de transport de paquets de données dans un système de transmission sans fil permettant des diffusions générales. Les flots de diffusion sont produits sous forme de paquets IP routés vers un groupe d'abonnés. Le PDSN applique un en-tête extérieur à chaque trame de flot de diffusion, qui identifie la trame comme partie d'une multidiffusion. Le PDSN transmet les trames vers au moins une PCF, la PCF reproduisant la trame reçue pour chaque utilisateur du groupe d'abonnés, ce qui permet de réduire le traitement du PDSN.
