Such membrane is formed of lanthanide phosphate which is doped with at least one metal Me which is selected from Group IIA of the Periodic Table, and which has a composition: Ln1-xMe x PO4, wherein Ln is at least one of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium or gadolinium; and 0~x~0.5.
