The present invention relates generally to the fields of treatment, prophylaxis and diagnosis. More particularly, the present invention identifies genes and gene products associated with bone morphogenesis and pathologies of the bone. Even more particularly, the present invention contemplates the regulation of expression of these genes or the activity of the gene products in the treatment, prophylaxis and diagnosis of bone pathologies.
