A space-saving clothes hanger rod structure (10) is provided which holds clothes hangers (11), and clothes hanging thereon, in an optimal angled position within a closet. There is pro- vided a generally V-shaped rod (10), when viewed in cross section, includ- ing two upwardly extending members (15, 16) extending at an angle up from a common base point (17), defining a V-shaped gap therebetween. Both of the upwardly extending members (15, 16) contain at their respective outer, spaced-apart edges (15b, 16b) a plural- ity of respective longitudinally spaced slot-like channels (18a-c), each chan- nel being adapted to receive a portion of the arcuate surface (19a) of a hanger hook, so that the respective hanger hooks are held in place at two spaced- apart points along the arcuate surface (19a) of the hook. As a result, the respective hanger hooks (11) are pre- vented from moving and rotating off of the angle of the channel (18a-c), preferably about 50 degrees. There- fore, clothes may be hung within a closet having a minimal depth therein.

Cette invention se rapporte à une structure de barre (10) pour cintres servant à économiser de l'espace, qui maintient des cintres (11) et les vêtements qui y sont suspendus dans une position en biais optimale à l'intérieur d'une armoire. On prévoit une barre profilée (10) généralement à section transversale en V, qui est constituée par deux éléments s'étendant vers le haut (15, 16) formant un angle ouvert vers le haut en partant d'un point de base commun (17) et définissant entre-eux un espace libre en V. Les deux éléments s'étendant vers le haut (15, 16) comportent au niveau de leurs bords espacés extérieurs respectifs (15b, 16b) plusieurs encoches correspondantes espacées longitudinalement (18a-c), chacune de ces encoches étant conçues pour recevoir une partie de la surface courbe (19a) d'un crochet de cintre, les crochets de cintres respectifs pouvant ainsi être maintenus en position fixe en deux points éloignés le long de la surface courbe (19a) du crochet. Par conséquent, les crochets de cintres respectifs (11) ne peuvent pas se déplacer ni effectuer de rotation et ils gardent une position en biais correspondant à l'angle des encoches (18a-c), lequel est de préférence égal à 50~. Ainsi, des vêtements peuvent être suspendus dans une armoire peu profonde.
