A gaming apparatus and method of playing a gaming apparatus wherein, with each spin, the player is afforded the option of effecting a singular spin of the reels so as to generate one random number generator which can be compared with a list of potential outcomes to determine if the player will win or lose, or of effecting multiple spins on a slot machine so as to generate multiple random number generators which can all be compared with a list of potential outcomes to determine if the player will win or lose. In this manner, the player utilizing the slot machine can "Fast track" the game to get to favourable "winning" random number generators, by virtue of the player being able to play multiple spins at one time.
