THE ABSTRACT This invention is a device created to provide a means to heat and defrost frozenground by projecting especially downward into the ground, continuous wave microwave energy for such length of time, in such frequencies and in such power ranges as may be necessary or most efficient to defrost the ground, various soils,ice and other materials so as to enable the removal of the previously frozen ground, various soils and ice in a relatively unfrozen state by means of conventional hand tools for the removal of unfrozen soils or by the use of conventional mechanized equipment for the removal of soils. This invention is hereinafter referred to as the "Continuous Microwave Soils Defroster" and will be referred to hereafter in the abbreviated form as "CMS Defroster".
