A process for manufacturing a moulding such as an architectural moulding or a picture or photo frame, includes the steps of providing a substrate such as a polymeric extrusion; providing a paste comprising a thermoplastic elastomer, a thermoplastic polymer, an inorganic particulate filler and an amount of a solvent to dissolve or wet the various components to form the paste; applying to the substrate a layer of the paste; shaping the paste to a desired shape; and allowing the paste to dry so that it adheres to the substrate to form the moulding.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer un moulage tel qu'un moulage d'architecture ou qu'un cadre à image ou à photographie. Ce procédé consiste à réaliser un substrat tel qu'un profilé en polymère, puis à réaliser une pâte. En l'occurrence, cette pâte est faite d'un élastomère thermoplastique, d'un polymère thermoplastique, d'un matériau de charge particulaire inorganique, et d'une quantité suffisante d'un solvant servant à dissoudre ou à mouiller les différents composants de façon à pouvoir façonner la pâte. Le procédé consiste ensuite à appliquer sur le substrat une couche de pâte et à donner à la pâte la forme voulue. Il ne reste plus qu'à laisser sécher la pâte jusqu'à ce qu'elle adhère au substrat et forme le moulage.
