A method of separating fluids that actuate a downhole tool (12) from well fluids is disclosed. The assembly permits equalization or circulation through the running string for delivery of the downhole tool to the desired location. The circulation passage (28) is closed and the clean fluid is displaced into the downhole tool by pressure applied to a movable barrier (22). At the end of the clean fluid displacement, a lateral port (30) is opened to allow retrieval without pulling a wet string.

Cette invention a trait à un procédé de séparation de fluides dans un puits, dans le cadre duquel un outil de fond (12) est mis en marche. Cet agencement permet d'équilibrer la circulation dans les tiges de descente afin d'installer l'outil de fond à l'emplacement souhaité. Le passage permettant la circulation (28) est fermé et le fluide propre est transféré dans l'outil de fond grâce à une pression s'exerçant sur une barrière mobile (22). Une fois le transfert terminé, un orifice latéral (30) est ouvert afin de permettre une extraction sans tirer sur une tige mouillée.
