Summary: Object of the invention is the use as a medicament with immunoactivating and therefore antivi- ral effect in man and in animals with neuroimmune regulation analogous to the human type of regulation of compounds of the general formula Image where R means chlorine, ethyl, ethoxy, phenyl, morpholino, piperidino or hydroxypiperidino and R' means -C(CH3)3 or -CH(CH3)2. Immunoactivation is defined as facilitated activation of the immune system in presence of fo- reign antigen. The immunoactivating effect is produced on one hand via blockade of the inhibi- tory effect of the sympathetic nervous system on the immune system and on the other hand via blockade of stress-centers in the central nervous system, especially of the nucleus paraventricu- latis of the hypothalamus. Thus biochemical activating reactions of the immune system are en- hanced in presence of foreign antigen by suppression of the inhibiting effect of catechol- amines.
