A sound absorbing shaped part includes at least two chambers which are adjacent in direction of incoming sound vibrations and during the intended use together with a carrier for the part delimit an interior space 3 which functions as an air-spring and is hermetically sealed to ambient. The chambers are each delimited by a chamber wall of polymeric material, whereby the chamber walls are joined into one piece and are relatively movably connected by an intermediate elastic element which is elastically deformable at least in direction of the incoming sound vibrations. The shaped part is more easily and economically manufactured and provides sound absorption over a wider range of frequencies.

Cette invention concerne un article insonorisant qui comprend au moins deux enceintes juxtaposées dans le sens de progression des vibrations sonores et qui définit, une fois monté sur un support, un volume intérieur 3 qui sert de ressort pneumatique hermétiquement isolé. Chaque enceinte est délimitée par une paroi en matériau polymère, lesdites parois étant réunies par un élément intermédiaire élastique déformable au moins dans le sens de progression des vibrations sonores pour former une seule pièce tout en demeurant mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre. L'article insonorisant objet de l'invention est plus facile à fabriquer à un prix de revient réduit et est efficace sur plus grande plage de fréquences.
