The invention provides techniques for delivering anti-tachycardia pacing therapies to a heart. A medical device for providing anti-tachycardia therapy consistent with the invention may include two or more electrodes located proximate to or within the ventricles and/or two or more electrodes located proximate to or within the atria of a heart for treating ventricular and/or atrial tachycardias. At least some of the pulses within a sequence of pulses of a selected therapy may be delivered via each of the two or more electrodes. The timing of the delivery of these pulses by a particular electrode may be based on a programmed cycle length between consecutive pulses within the sequence and delay periods that are programmed for each electrode for each of these pulses. Thus, different electrodes may deliver the same pulse within a sequence at different times, increasing the effectiveness of anti-tachycardia pacing therapies.
L'invention concerne des techniques pour administrer des thérapies d'entraînement anti-tachycardie à un coeur. L'invention concerne un dispositif médical destiné à l'administration d'une thérapie anti-tachycardie comprenant au moins deux électrodes situées à proximité ou à l'intérieur des ventricules et/ou au moins deux électrodes situées à proximité ou à l'intérieur de l'atrium du coeur destinées à traiter la tachycardie ventriculaire et/ou atriale. Au moins certaines impulsions à l'intérieur de séquences d'impulsions d'une thérapie sélectionnée peuvent être administrées par l'intermédiaire de chacune des deux électrodes. Le temps d'administration desdites impulsions par une électrode particulière peut être basé sur une longueur de cycle programmée entre des impulsions consécutives à l'intérieur des périodes de séquence et des périodes de retard qui sont programmées pour chaque électrode pour chaque impulsion. Ainsi, différentes électrodes peuvent administrer la même impulsion à l'intérieur d'une séquence à des moments différents, tout en améliorant l'efficacité des thérapies d'entraînement anti-tachycardie.
