In a panoramic lift, a roller placard (7) is provided, which is fastened at one end at a reeling and unreeling device (9) in the shaft foot (11) or in the shaft head (14) and at the other end at the cage underside (12) or at the upper cage side (15) and which is thereby reeled and unreeled in the lower or upper shaft region (13, 16) during the travelling of the lift cage (5). The reeling and unreeling device (9) is mounted in the shaft foot (11) or in the shaft head (14) to be easily exchangeable as well as alignable horizontally and vertically and contains a rotating drum (8), which carries the roller placard (7) and is biassed in reeling- up direction relative to its rotational axle by means of spiral springs. Roller blind lifts (A, B) are secured against blocking of the rotating drum (8) in both directions of rotation. The roller placard (7) is preferably a foil or a fabric of a tear-resistant and bending-resistant synthetic material which can also be printed on in colour, but is not combustible or only combustible with difficulty. It achieves the greatest attention due to its permanent presence and its constant reeling and unreeling movements. Special light effects result through particular choice of material in the case of the roller placard (7), by the use of lasers and coloured or polarised light or by the use of specially coated glass for the cage (5) and the lift shaft (4).
