A method of deuterizing a compound represented by the general formula [1]: R1- X-R2 [1] (wherein R1 represents alkyl, etc.; R2 represents alkyl, hydroxy, etc.; and X represents carbonyl or hydroxymethylene), which comprises reacting the compound represented by the general formula [1] with a deuterium source in the presence of a catalyst selected among activated palladium, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, nickel, and cobalt catalysts. By the method, deuterization, which has been conducted under severe conditions, can be conducted under neutral conditions. Even when the compound contains an unsaturated bond, it can be deuterized without reducing the unsaturated bond.
L'invention concerne un procédé de deutération de composé de formule générale (1) : R?1¿-X-R?2¿. Dans cette formule, R?1¿ est alkyle, etc., et R?2¿ est alkyle, hydroxy, etc., tandis que X est carbonyle ou hydroxyméthylène. On fait réagir le composé avec une source de deutérium en présence d'un catalyseur qui peut être au palladium, platine, rhodium, ruthénium, nickel, et cobalt activé. La deutération normalement conduite dans des conditions sévères peut ainsi s'effectuer des conditions neutres. Même avec une liaison insaturée, le composé peut subir la deutération sans réduction de cette liaison.
