ABSTRACT A tire building device wherein a unistage drum presents an inner shaft having an intermediate por- tion fitted with an inner stitching device, and two end portions located on opposite sides of the stitching device and supporting two half drums con- nected to the inner shaft via the interposition of respective slides, each of which is connected, on one side, in sliding and angularly fixed manner to the inner shaft, and, on the other, in rotary manner to the respective half drum which may be locked in relation to the respective slide by means of a friction joint.
