The invention relates to a method and system for automatic color determination and a computer programme and computer-readable storage medium associated thereto, which may find application particularly in the field of electronic commerce. The invention enables, for example, a provider to specify the correct color of a merchandise so that a client is able to find, order and purchase said merchandise in a targeted manner. According to the invention, at least one color to be determined is recorded in a computer-readable form, together with one or more reference colors, as for example the shades of grey G1 to G16, the colors red, yellow, blue, white and/or black. A computer programme installed on a data processing unit reads the recorded data, compares the recorded data of at least part of the reference colors with the stored comparative values of said reference colors, and then determines automatically the one (or more) color(s) which is (are) to be determined by evaluating at least part of the recorded data relative to the color to be determined and at least part of the differential values resulting from the comparison of the read data and the stored comparative values.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système pour la détermination automatique de couleurs, ainsi qu'un programme d'ordinateur et un support d'information associé lisible par ordinateur, pouvant être utilisés notamment dans le commerce en ligne. L'invention permet par exemple à un vendeur d'indiquer la couleur correcte de marchandises afin qu'un client puisse trouver ces dernières de manière ciblée, les commander et les acheter. Selon l'invention, au moins une couleur à déterminer est enregistrée, de manière lisible par ordinateur, avec une ou plusieurs couleurs de référence, par exemple des nuances de gris G1 à G16, rouge, jaune, bleu, blanc et/ou noir. Un programme d'ordinateur installé sur un dispositif de traitement de données lit les données enregistrées, compare les données enregistrées d'au moins une partie des couleurs de référence avec des valeurs de comparaison mémorisées des couleurs de référence, détermine automatiquement la ou les couleurs à déterminer par évaluation d'au moins une partie des données enregistrées de la couleur à déterminer et d'au moins une partie des valeurs de différence déterminées lors de la comparaison entre les données lues et les valeurs de comparaison mémorisées.
