Each fastener comprises a shank pointed at one end and bearing a head at the other end, the fasteners are engaged respectively via their shanks in guide pegs (11) joined together into a string (20). At least one of the guide pegs at the end of the string (11', 11") comprises support means (14) designed to prevent it from tilting as it is transferred from the loading device into the apparatus.
