In an electrical drive (10) and a method for the suppression of radio frequency emissions from an electrical drive of the kind comprising an electrical motor (11; 43; 43'; 101) supplied with electrical power via an electronic controller (12; 40; 40'; 102) having a high speed switching means which generates high frequency energy, an electrical screen (9; 9'; 14, 15, 16; 54; 61; 75; 101', 102, 103') is provided to receive the radio frequency energy and is connected back to the input side of high speed switching means.
