This invention refers to a method for the control of the phenomenon of severe slug in multi-phase flow subsea lines such as those for conveying petroleum from a subsea wellhead to the surface, comprising the installation of at least one secondary line (3), a secondary riser that starts at the downward geometry production line (1) and finishes in the vertical line (2) that conveys the fluids to the production unit, the said secondary line (3) collecting the gas segregated at the top of downward geometry production line (1) at a point B located at a distance "L" from the joint C between the production line (1) and the vertical line (2), and transports the gas to a point A located in the vertical line (2) and a distance "H" from the aforesaid joint C, the pressure differential existing between points A and B ensuring gas flow between said points, with possibilities of installing a control valve (4) in the secondary auxiliary line (3) so as to control the gas flow, the operation of said control valve being monitored by a primary control device (5) that gauges some physical magnitude that is significant for the control of severe slug, such as pressure or density, and that acts on the control valve so as to ensure a stable flow of gas.

La présente invention a trait à une méthode d'élimination des cas graves de bouchons dans les canalisations sous-marines à écoulement en phases multiples comme les canalisations transportant du pétrole d'une tête de puits sous-marine jusqu'à la surface. Elle consiste à installer au moins une canalisation secondaire (3), un tube prolongateur secondaire qui commence à la canalisation de production inférieure (1) et se termine à la canalisation verticale (2) qui transporte les fluides jusqu'à l'unité de production; la canalisation secondaire (3) recueille le gaz séparé au sommet de la canalisation de production inférieure (1) à un point B situé à une certaine distance << L >> du joint C entre la canalisation de production inférieure (1) et la canalisation verticale (2), et transporte le gaz à un point A situé dans la canalisation verticale (2) et à une certaine distance << H >> du joint C susmentionné; la différence de pression entre les points A et B assure l'écoulement du gaz entre ces deux points, et il est possible d'installer une vanne de réglage (4) dans la canalisation secondaire (3) de manière à régler l'écoulement du gaz, le fonctionnement de la vanne de réglage est surveillé par un dispositif de commande principal (5) qui mesure une grandeur physique qui a de l'importance relativement à l'élimination des cas graves de bouchons, comme la pression ou la densité, et qui agit sur la vanne de réglage de manière à assurer un écoulement stable du gaz.
