Pour enregistrer une communication entre un terminal appelant et un terminal appelé dans un réseau de télécommunications, au niveau d'un serveur d'appels (12) auquel est relié un dispositif d'enregistrement (16), on reçoit une requête (301, 602) d'établissement indiquant un profil de communication du terminal appelant et un identifiant du terminal appelé. On transmet au dispositif un message de déclenchement (303, 603) indiquant le profil de communication du terminal appelant. On transmet ensuite au terminal appelé, une requête d'établissement (306, 607) indiquant un profil de communication du dispositif. On reçoit depuis le terminal appelé une réponse d'établissement (309, 608) indiquant un profil de communication du terminal appelé. On transmet alors à destination du dispositif un message de mise à jour (311, 611) indiquant le profil de communication du terminal appelé, et au terminal appelant, une réponse (314, 609) indiquant un profil de communication du dispositif. Le dispositif peut ainsi mémoriser des données reçues depuis le terminal appelant et/ou des données reçues depuis le terminal appelé.
