This invention relates to a method of slurrifying oil contaminated materials by introducing a microemulsion or microemulsion-forming surfactant(s) to the material and subjecting the mixture to suitable shear or mixing forces to suitably blend such mixtures. Said method may be applied directly to the wastes such as waste drill mud cuttings and muds, emulsions, sludges, or soil substrates contaminated with water and/or oil drilling fluids in order to both reduce the viscosity and improve the lubricity, wetting and flow properties of the substrate.

L'invention concerne un procédé de transformation en boue de matériaux contaminés par du pétrole, consistant à introduire une microémulsion ou un ou plusieurs agent(s) tensioactif(s) générateur(s) de microémulsion dans le matériau et à soumettre le mélange à des forces de cisaillement ou de mélange appropriées pour le brassage adéquat du mélange. Ledit procédé peut être appliqué directement aux déchets tels que débris et boues de boues de forage usées, émulsions, déblais de forage ou substrats de sol contaminés par de l'eau et/ou des fluides de forage, afin de réduire la viscosité et améliorer le pouvoir lubrifiant, les propriétés de mouillage et d'écoulement du substrat.
