A computer-based system that reads a dump of a switch's office dependent data (ODD) as well as product and site data to produce a pictorial representation of the frames, shelves and slots of a switch. This inven- tory report shows what the switch thinks it has in- stalled and assigned or enabled. The report can also be used to identify circuit packs that are installed but are not enabled or assigned. The tool can also identify product installation problems, for example, where an additional power supply is required after a certain number of a circuit pack are installed in a shelf, but the additional power supply has not been installed.
