A nutritional composition for very low birth weight infants which comprises 26 5 to 38 g/l of a source of hypoallergenic hydrolysed whey protein with a degree of hydrolysis between 8 and 20, 37 to 46 g/l of a fat source of which 20 to 50% is medium chain triglycerides and which has an n6:n3 ratio between 6 and 12 and 50 to 100 g/l of a carbohydrate source which composition contains between 3.2 and 4.0 grams of protein per 100kcal.

La présente invention concerne une préparation nutritionnelle pour nourrissons présentant un poids très faible à la naissance, ladite préparation comprenant entre 26 et 38 g/L d'une source de protéine lactosérique hydrolysée hypoallergénique dont le degré d'hydrolyse est compris entre 8 et 20, entre 37 et 46 g/L d'une source de matières grasses dont 20 à 50 % sont constitués de triglycérides à chaîne moyenne et dont le rapport n6/n3 est compris entre 6 et 12, et entre 50 et 100 g/L d'une source d'hydrates de carbone, ladite préparation contenant entre 3,2 et 4,0 grammes de protéines pour 100 kcal.
