The invention relates to a method and to a communication system for the authorization-dependent control of a contactless interface device (20) of a communication device (100). The communication device comprises a contactless interface device (20, 25), a device for authenticating a user, and a control device (30). After successful authentication, the control device (30) deactivates the contactless interface device (20) in response to a deactivation command in order to suppress data transmission via the contactless interface device.
