A humanised monoclonal antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof, which binds to the gH glycoprotein of HCMV, and has HCMV-neutralising activity. Its CDRs are derived from a non-human antibody and its FRs are derived from a human antibody. Certain amino acids of the human FRs have been altered to improve the HCMV-specificity and/or affinity of the antib ody.
