A fabric softening composition contains a first nonionic surfactant which has a head group bearing at least three hydroxyl groups and is preferably from carbohydrate source and a lipophilic aliphatic tail of 10 to 40, especially 16 to 24 carbon atoms, plus a second nonionic surfactant of HLB not above 7, which may incorporate an aliphatic chain of 10 to 40, especially 16 to 24 carbon atoms.

L'invention concerne une composition de produit d'assouplissement de tissus qui renferme un premier tensio-actif non ionique comportant un groupe de tête, de préférence glucidique, portant au moins trois groupes hydroxyle et une queue aliphatique lipophile pourvue de 10 à 40 atomes de carbone, expressément de 16 à 24 atomes de carbone; et un deuxième tensio-actif non ionique doté d'un rapport hydro-lipophile ne dépassant pas 7, qui peut comporter une chaîne aliphatique pourvue de 10 à 40 atomes de carbone, expressément de 16 à 24 atomes de carbone.
