The invention relates to a method of tracking shipments, such as letters and parcels, sent by at least one user to the address of at least one recipient. The inventive method comprises a step whereby a barcode (10) is printed on each of the shipments to be tracked. The method is characterised in that the barcode (10) comprises at least one shipment user (1) identification part, which remains the same for each user, and one part that is used to identify the shipping rank or number (3) of the shipment, said part varying for each shipment. The invention also relates to a device for using said method and to a manual apparatus for printing the barcodes (10) on the shipments.
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de suivi d'envois, du type lettres ou colis, envoyés par au moins un usager à une adresse d'au moins un destinataire, ledit procédé comportant une étape d'impression d'un code-barres (10) sur chacun des envois destiné à être suivi, caractérisé en ce que ledit code-barres (10) est constitué au moins d'une partie d'identification de l'usager (1) de l'envoi, qui est invariable pour chaque usager, et d'une partie d'identification du rang d'expédition (3) dudit envoi, qui est variable pour chaque envoi. La présente invention se rapporte également à un dispositif permettant la mise en oeuvre du procédé, ainsi qu'à un appareil manuel pour l'impression de codes-barres (10) sur des envois.
