Increased yields of middle distillate and jet fuel and increased catalyst activity are obtained in a hydrocracking process by the use of a catalyst containing a beta zeolite and a Y zeolite having a unit cell size from 24.37 to 24.44 angstrom. The catalyst has a relatively high amount of Y zeolite relative to beta zeolite.

Selon l'invention, des rendements supérieurs de distillat moyen et de carburéacteur et une activité catalytique accrue sont obtenus dans un procédé d'hydrocraquage par l'utilisation d'un catalyseur contenant une zéolithe bêta et une zéolithe Y présentant une taille de motif élémentaire de 24,37 à 24,44 angströms. Le catalyseur comporte une quantité relativement élevée de zéolithe Y par rapport à la zéolithe bêta.
