An adhesive bandage which includes a planar body of flexible material having an adhesive face and a non-adhesive face. At least a portion of the adhesive face has an adhesive coating, whereby the adhesive face is adhered to human skin. A planar polymer plastic protective shield is provided having opposed faces and a peripheral edge. The protective shield is secured to the adhesive face of the body. A sterilized pad is secured to the protective shield. The sterilized pad has a peripheral edge. Both the protective shield and the sterilized pad are relatively smaller than the body, such that a portion of the adhesive face of the body bearing the adhesive coating protrudes past both the peripheral edge of the protective shield and the peripheral edge of the sterilized pad.

Pansement adhésif comprenant un corps plat fait d'un matériau souple qui comporte une face adhésive et une face non adhésive. Au moins une partie de la face adhésive présente un revêtement adhésif, au moyen duquel la face adhésive colle à la peau d'une personne. L'invention prévoit également une pellicule protectrice plane de plastique polymère comprenant des faces opposées et un bord périphérique. La pellicule protectrice est fixée à la face adhésive du corps, et un pansement stérilisé comportant un bord périphérique est fixé à la pellicule. Cette dernière et le pansement stérilisé sont tous deux relativement plus petits que le corps de sorte qu'une partie de la face adhésive du corps, comprenant le revêtement adhésif, dépasse des bords périphériques de la pellicule protectrice et du pansement stérilisé.
