A disposable wearing article that includes a liquid-absorbent first core disposed between top- and backsheets, a pair of side flaps extending in a longitudinal direction outside transversely opposite side edges of the first core in a crotch region and a pair of second cores spaced from the respective side edges of the first core and disposed between the top- and backsheets. The first core and the second cores are bonded together in the vicinity of the side edge portions of the first core and in the vicinity of the inner side edge portions of the second cores in the crotch region so that the side flaps obliquely extend downward from the side edge portions of the first core.
