The invention relates to a system for measuring an analyte concentration in a bodily fluid sample, comprising a consumable material (3) with detection reagents that trigger a detection reaction upon contact with a bodily fluid sample, at least one magazine (2) containing such consumable material (3) for a plurality of measurements, a data carrier (6) attached to the magazine (2) containing calibration information for the consumable material (3) contained in the magazine (2), a handheld device (4) comprising a magazine receptacle (7) with a reader (10) for the purpose of accommodating such a magazine (2) and reading the data carrier (6) thereof, a measurement device (12) for measuring the result of a detection reaction, a processor (13) connected to the measurement device (12) and reader (10) for controlling the measurement device (12) and for analyzing a measurement signal. The invention provides for the system (1) to have, in addition to the at least one magazine (2) and the handheld device (4) at least one exchangeable data storage unit (5) as an additional system component, upon which supplementary data are stored that cooperate in the analysis of a measurement signal with calibration information stored on the data carrier (6) of a magazine (2) inserted into the device (4). The invention further provides for the handheld device (4) to have an interface (18) for transmitting supplementary data from the exchangeable data storage unit (5) to the device (4) and for a consumable material identifier to be stored on the data carrier (6) by means of which the processor (13) determines after the insertion of a magazine (2) whether a reliable measurement of an analyte concentration in a bodily fluid sample will be possible with the consumable material (3) in the inserted magazine (2) combined with the supplementary data available to the processor (13).
L'invention concerne un système servant à mesurer une concentration d'un analyte dans un échantillon de liquide organique, lequel système comprend un consommable (3) pourvu de réactifs de détection provoquant une réaction de détection au contact d'un échantillon de liquide organique, au moins un chargeur (2) contenant le consommable (3) pour plusieurs mesures, un support de données (6), placé sur le chargeur (2) et contenant une information d'étalonnage pour le consommable (3) contenu dans le chargeur (2), ainsi qu'un appareil tenu à la main (4), présentant un compartiment à chargeur (7) muni d'un dispositif de lecture (10), lequel compartiment est destiné à recevoir un tel chargeur (2) et à lire son support de données (6), un dispositif de mesure (12) destiné à mesurer le résultat d'une réaction de détection et un processeur (13) raccordé au dispositif de mesure (12) et au dispositif de lecture (10), lequel processeur est destiné à commander le dispositif de mesure (12) et à évaluer un signal de mesure. Selon l'invention, le système (1) comprend, outre ledit au moins un chargeur (2) et l'appareil tenu à la main (4), au moins une mémoire de données remplaçable (5) comme autre composante du système, mémoire dans laquelle sont enregistrées des données complémentaires qui, lors de l'évaluation d'un signal de mesure, s'associent à une information d'étalonnage enregistrée sur le support de données (6) d'un chargeur (2) inséré dans l'appareil (4); l'appareil tenu à la main (4) présente une interface (18), qui permet de transmettre des données complémentaires de la mémoire de données remplaçable (5) audit appareil (4), et un code de consommable est enregistré sur le support de données (6), code au moyen duquel le processeur (13) détermine, après qu'un chargeur (2) a été inséré, si une concentration d'un analyte dans un échantillon de liquide organique peut être mesurée de façon fiable avec le consommable (3) contenu dans le chargeur inséré (2), en association avec les données complémentaires à la disposition du processeur (13).
